- 8 charging stations in 3 years?
- 0 Internet connections in 3 years.
- The Inflation Reduction Act. That one has to be a joke.
What, the Inflation-Causation-Act ? PERFECT success !!!
And just wait until they start hyper-taxing all those
'rich' biz/retailers !!!
Look up the PRICE of those 8 charging stations too :-)
As for the Navy ... it's been a similar prob in the UK
as well. Few want to sign-up anymore. Not sure if it's
disloyalty/apatriotism or just apathy. When things go
relatively well for awhile everyone starts to think
they don't NEED a military. What, ME worry ?
And then, BOOM.
And they wonder how the enemy made so much progress
so quickly.
TODAY ... well ... IF we seriously leveraged our tech
then we would need far fewer humans in the mil. This
is esp true for Navy and AF. Drones - semi and fully
autonomous - are the weapons systems of the future.
Many ships carrying such may need almost NO humans
except to turn the odd wrench. Subs can be automated
as well - and a lot smaller/faster because they would
not have to keep humans alive. Smart fighter-drones
replace most AF/Navy pilots. Humans become naught
but button-pushers, oft far from the actual battle.
China, reportedly, is a bit further alone when it
comes to semi/auto attack drones. Authoritarian
govt plus more money ... their mil AI chips are a
gen better and they've no ethical worries about
'accidents' or robots slaughtering humans.
We'd BETTER DAMNED WELL catch up, like TOMORROW.
Eventually, a bit further along, even Army will be
affected ... 'terminators' take the point. Imagine
a hovering drone with 16 guns and computer system
that NEVER misses a shot - perfect trajectory calx.
A few of those and you could wipe out thousands
within minutes.
(I see a drone that kinda looks like the old trad
UFO, with 16 gun barrels all around the rim, one
like 50mm grenade launcher, central fan turbine.
The shape alone helps deflect incoming fire. It
just flits around quick, IDs humans and pre-
programmed assets, fires. Evasive - teach it
based on flies/mosquitoes)
Like it or not, this IS the mil future.
Automated slaughter & destruction. The
'AI' is already up to the job ...

Democrats hate the military.
Sure there are budget items that are a waste and need to be cut but basic military funding,
especially in these times, should be a priority.
Instead the democrats are paying trillions to take care of illegal migrants. China focuses on building a strong, intelligent nation while the USA can't seem to figure out how
many sexes there are.
Xi has to be laughing his ass off.
And why not, everyone else who is an adversary of the USA is.

Yep - we (and much of Europe) have 'sophisticated' ourselves
to the brink of oblivion. Our "worst problems" have nothing
to do with Worst Problems.
I figure Xi gets the western half, Vlad gets the
eastern half - and Iran will have to get SOME
little bit too
