• AP's 270th book of science-- debunking Snowball Earth exaggeration-- PB

From Archimedes Plutonium@21:1/5 to All on Wed Oct 11 20:01:44 2023
Exaggeration in science is a terrible mistake and ruins science. We must always guard against it-- exaggeration.

NOVA's show of a Snowball Earth. AP does not deny we had periodic ice ages, but this Snowball Earth goes to extreme exaggeration.

The missing data-point in this geology-biology review of Snowball Earth is the fact that the Moon was not present until about 60 million years ago and so, before 60 million years, one side of Earth was in perpetual sunlight, the side that had the
    continents -- Rodina.

While the other side of Earth was in perpetual darkness leading to frozen over oceans and some land masses.

On the side of Earth in perpetual Sunshine there was no Snowball, and life flourished. Flourished so much that they built up the oxygen rich atmosphere.

Another fault of this program is the evidence seems to be hand picked from Iceland. Iceland is not "the whole Earth".

Another flaw of logic which I am beginning to increasingly despise, is that many weak scientists are using modern day CO2 buildup to use that to explain past events. Whereas the fossil fuel burning by humans is a contributing factor, the main driver of
Global Warming is the Sun is increasing in yearly solar radiation -- it was 0.005% yearly increase in the past decade.

I hate it when weak in logical mind scientists impose a modern day concept of CO2, juxtapose that into the past.

This NOVA show has to be totally redone, for it only spreads falsehoods not science.

P.S. AP accepts the fact of Ice Ages, but not Ice Ages so blown out of proportion. We had a Ice Age in recent geological time.

Alright, I have my Marshak, Essentials of Geology, 3rd edition, 2009, pages 303,304,305.

If we study Rodina and then Pannotia in their breakup we can see that parts of each were in the All Darkness half of Earth, while the other half in All Sunlight part of Earth.

For the Earth had ___no Moon__ until about 66 to 60 million years ago, and 1/2 side of Earth was constant sunlight while the other 1/2 of Earth constant darkness and thus frozen, frozen oceans if it were all water.

The Snowball Earth never surpassed 1/2 frozen, for the side of Earth in constant Sunlight would have been warm.

The fools and idiots of geology who **assume** Earth was with a moon all the time, and that Earth rotated and revolved with 4 seasons are really stupid idiot fools of science in harboring that grotesque assumption.

The glacial boulders and till found on continents for Rodinia and onwards were land masses that moved into the dark cold 1/2 side of Earth. But once they were within the Sunlite 1/2 of Earth they were warm and drenched in sunlight year round, every day,
    and no night.

And this makes sense logically, in that the life on Earth had to build up the oxygen atmosphere. You cannot have the Cambrian explosion of life and have a Snowball Earth.

It was never expected that geologists take formal logic in college before awarded a degree, and it shows in their silly ideas and theories.

More bullshit from the "King of Science". Such extraordinary claims require evidence, which, once again, is sadly lacking. The scientific evidence is that the Moon is about 4.5 billion years old, having been formed when a Mars-sized object crashed into
the Earth. There is no scientific evidence that the Earth ever had one face towards the sun. You have to wonder, if that were the case, how did the Earth start spinning once a 24-hour day instead of once a year? Where did the angular momentum come from?

Why Tom?? Because they are so sloppy and slipshod in Physics experiment of Water Electrolysis, stopping and ceasing the experiment before weighing the mass of the hydrogen compared to mass of oxygen. Is it that they are stupid silly thinking volume and
mass are the same. For AP needs to prove decisively, if Water is really H4O or H2O. And of course, this experiment would destroy the Standard Model-- that post-diction theory of physics that never gave a single prediction in all of its tenure.

Or is it because they cannot admit the truth of math geometry that slant cut of cone is oval, not ellipse for you need the symmetry of slant cut of cylinder to yield a ellipse.

Apparently Kibo realized he was a science failure when he could not even do a proper percentage. But then one has to wonder how much he paid to bribe Rensselaer to graduate from the school in engineering unable to do a percentage properly???? For I
certainly would not hire a engineer who cannot even do proper percentage.

Why Volney?? Because they stop short of completing the Water Electrolysis Experiment by only looking at volume, when they are meant to weigh the mass of hydrogen versus oxygen?? Such shoddy minds in experimental physics and chemistry.
