AP is not privy to the state of condition of Ukraine army after 2 years of war. And we have this ugly ugly Republican Party in the USA going in favor of Putin rather than the allies who already invested with aid to Ukraine for the past 2 years.
Those Republicans are aiding, abetting, and assisting the Putin's Kremlin. The Republicans used to be strong on defense. No more. But the party of traitors and stupid idiots. The President Biden is asking for 60 billion dollars to finish up on 2 years of
aid, but imbeciles in the Republican Party are traitor morons holding that up. Maybe Putin is financing those few Republican morons with their campaign finances.
So, we come this moment in time--- can the F-16s get to Ukraine on time, for those planes clearly will cause Victory for Ukraine.
If not, then the recent Stoltenberg plan that what is remaining of Ukraine joins the NATO alliance, but giving up all territory now held by Russia.
I do not know the situation full enough. Is Ukraine strong enough to wait for the F-16s?? If not, well, it is better to join NATO and lose the Russian occupied land.
Because once Kiev and Ukraine are part of NATO, that NATO has hundreds of F-16s and should Russia try to steal any of the eastern borders of NATO countries, they will, the F-16s pound the Russians back all the way to Moscow.
This is what went wrong with NATO aid to Ukraine. The moment Russia invaded, was the moment NATO needed to get F-16s into Ukraine, not 2 years later, as too little too late.
If Ukraine had F-16s already by the moment of invasion 24Feb2022, then Russia in my estimation would have lost in 2022, as the war of Ukraine was all about air superiority.
Perhaps Ukraine is strong enough now, to still wait for the F-16s. And prove to the world, that if a war does not go ICBM, but remain conventional. That the only weapon that decides that war is the best fighter jet.
Everything else in that war, missiles, tanks, howitzers, you name it--- are antiques waiting to be hit. The deciding weapon is the superior jet fighter plane in dominance of the air space.
