In the 1870s, women had an average of 7 children. Now the
average is less than one.
That's well below "replacement rate".
You'd think the pop-control people would be very happy.
HOWEVER ... in 'social benefits' nations - of which the
USA is one (though less than EU countries) - well, it
works by the present generation robbing the future
generation. Steal the kiddies money through taxes and
such to pay for Medicare and SS and 'welfare' and all
the other stuff. Direct theft and indirect theft by
taxing the biz the kiddies spend their money with.
But what if there ISN'T much of a "future generation" ?
That means NO MONEY TO STEAL. The whole welfare state
implodes.
France just this week came up against it - Macron used
some basically wartime authority to force a 'pension
reform' bill through without the reps being able to
vote on it at all. His reason is related to the theme
here - there's just not enough money anymore, or to
be stolen from The Future, to support what we'd call
'early retirement' anymore. I suspect this is the
end of Macron however ... flaming protests continue.
So, what to DO about it ???
Well ... you BRING IN LOTS AND LOTS OF "IMMIGRANTS".
THEY will be your 'future generation'. They will
work and be taxed. You welfare state will be funded.
Of course the fundamental NATURE of your State will
be substantially altered by so many "immigrants",
but you can only politic the math just SO much.
Oh yea ... for how long will all those 'immigrants'
tolerate being taxes to support a shrinking number
of native american citizens ??? :-)
I think some US states are sneakily trying to kind
of fix-up the birthrate problem by making abortion
and contraceptive measures more difficult. Alas it
won't be nearly enough. Even the dreaded "Handmaid's
Tale" thing won't be enough. The USA, and lots of
the EU, are GOING to become Moslem/Hispanic nations
in majority pop and culture ... sooner than you think.
At least the USA will get mostly 'hispanics' ... but
the poor Euros will get aggressive Moslems out
the ass ..... the next caliphate will be based
in Paris ...........
Birthrates fall when people feel "safe", don't NEED
seven kids for support or as their little 'army'.
This situation will continue for now ... until it
is WAY too late to catch-up population-wise.
