Top Republican lawmakers reacted with outrage to the
unprecedented indictment of former president Donald
Trump on Thursday as part of the Manhattan District
    Attorney's Office's years-long investigation.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has been investigating Trump
for hush money payments made leading up to the 2016
    presidential election.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., stated in a
tweet Thursday, "Alvin Bragg has irreparably damaged
our country in an attempt to interfere in our Presidential
    election."

"As he routinely frees violent criminals to terrorize the
public, he weaponized our sacred system of justice against
President Donald Trump. The American people will not tolerate
this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold
Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account,"
    McCarthy said.

    . . .

    Trump just won '24 ...

I do see the strategy that's being prepared - the IDEA
is to indict, and then STRETCH IT ALL OUT for a couple
of YEARS to maintain "uncertainty". As years-long cases
have, alas, become common, nothing here will stand out
    as "unusual".

The partisan weaponization of the 'Justice' system is
now complete. Disagree with the Ruling Party and you
get ARRESTED and PERSECUTED - just like in Russia,
China, NK, Iran and a bunch of 3rd-world shitholes ....

What happened to MAtt Gaetz indictment?

If the "Ruling Party" has so much power

There was an issue with the credibility of two of the central witnesses in the sex
trafficking probe. Interestingly Gaetz voted against three separate pieces of sex
    trafficking legislation.
