Shoppers said today that inflation is 'going mad' after a 600g
tub of Lurpak worth £5.35 was locked up in security netting
in Aldi.
A dumbfounded customer shared a video of the protected product
on video app TikTok after spotting it in a store in Kidbrooke,
south-east London.
It is the latest move by supermarkets to add security to their
groceries amid fears that the cost-of-living crisis has caused
a surge in shoplifting
. . .
Six bucks a pound for tub butter IS kinda high - but
has shoplifting become THAT bad a food stores ???
If so ... YIKES ! The new king of england may indeed
be the LAST king of England ... of "England" period.
For reference, a 15oz Country Crock butter tub costs
about $3.98 at US WalMart.
