It's WORSE in a lot of other 1st-world countries - with
S.Korea perhaps as the extreme case.

Clue - the modern economic paradigm requires robbing the
future to pay for the present. What if there ISN'T a
future ... not nearly enough young people to tax ?

I think SOME of this is behind the ultra-slack conditions
at the US southern border. Aren't nearly enough children
being born of native parents to pay for the welfare state.

We can view the 'immigration' as a desperate attempt to
import enough (taxable) workers to meet future economic
needs. Even xenophobic Japan is now MUCH more open to
'foreign workers' (mostly African in their case).

People in 1st-world countries feel CONFIDENT - they
feel they don't NEED nine kids to support them. They
have no memory of any other situation. So, as raising
kids is a pain, they DON'T HAVE THEM. They may be badly
wrong about the needs for lots of kids ... but if so
the realization is going to come too late.
