• Head Twitter Tekkie RESIGNS Over DeSantis Online Debacle

Twitter's head of engineering resigns a day after platform's
disastrous launch of Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign
    announcement

Foad Dabiri announced on Thursday that he resigned
Wednesday saw a catastrophic attempt to launch DeSantis'
    2024 bid on Twitter

Elon Musk blamed the highly-embarrassing issue on
    'server strain'

    . . .

No Elon, it wasn't "server strain" - all kinds of
Twitter stuff attracts millions without incident.
THIS stinks of Woke tekkies SABOTAGING things.

Oh, any future GOP candidates, do NOT announce
online or base your campaign heavily on an
online presence. "They" WILL sabotage - and
indeed Twitter is maybe the ONLY place where
management might give a shit. The good old
In Front Of The People on The Trail is yer
best bet - and if the Wokies/ANTIFA attack
there it just ADDS MORE VOTES - proves THEY
    are the actual democracy-hostile "extremists".

I suspect they didn't plan for the number of viewers and the system was overwhelmed.

I'm kinda surprised that this happened. There are performance tools that can be run to simulate

Yes, they can do such sims quite easily these days.

I suspect they didn't plan for the number of viewers and the system was overwhelmed.
It was funny though watching the left MSM squawking over the failure yet fawning over Joe Biden's
phone it in, prerecorded video announcing his candidacy.

    SO unexpected ! :-)

At least DeSantis tried something different and everyone knows senile Joe is not capable of holding
a live event without screwing it up.

Anyway, come the election season, this will all be forgotten.

    The RESULTS won't though ....

    Newsom -vs- Trump/DeSantis/Youngkin/??? ... it's
gonna be a MESS and no matter which 'side' wins
(or cheats best) and it's gonna kind of start a
dangerous species of revolution. Too many people
have had it with 'compromises' and 'cooperation'
and that boring 'democracy' stuff and now want
things ALL their way. Ain't geographic like in
1860 either ... "the enemy" likely lives right
next door. How's THAT all gonna work out ?

There is no question that it's going to be one massive food fight. I don't think Newsom stands a
chance but who knows. The way I see it, the primaries are to some extent rigged anyway. The DNC or
RNC have their anointed candidate and it takes a real popular outsider, like Trump to overcome that.
In reality the only reason Biden will be their choice is that he can easily be manipulated.
Just keep feeding him ice cream and he will sign anything put in front of him.

With the entire MSM behind him Newsom DOES stand a good chance.
Every failure of Cal will be swept under the carpet or blamed
on others. He'll be a dazzling superstar. BET on it. They have
experts at this - as already seen. The GOP doesn't.

I haven't any pushing of him by the MSM yet, but it's very early. I do see Fox pushing DeSantis
though. If that does happen though it's going to be a repeat of 2020. We shall see.

The other Worst Nightmare is Michelle Obama - no bad record,
all Lefty-Goddess propaganda. Free Money for all !!!

That thought, or nightmare, had crossed my mind. America hating Michelle would be the GOP's biggest
nightmare. The under informed voters will flock to her.

ALL existing GOP hopefuls come with a lot of controversy
or exploitable extremist stink. The WORST thing so far
is the anti-abortion tilt ... alienates 50% of the pop
right off the bat. Don't care what they SAY - they all
    want that backup option ....

I'm pro life but I could deal with a 10 week or heartbeat rule and of course in cases of
rape/incest. I think many people have the same or similar ideas.
However, the left is going to push the abortion issue as hard as they can. It will be the same old
"do you want the government to control your body?" bullshit. How come the left wasn't screaming
about the COVID vaccine? They pick and choose what fits the narrative.
I believe the abortion issue is what tilted the midterms to the democrats.

It's definitely a polarizing issue for sure.

In short the upcoming election really CAN go Wokie again,
not even counting cheating. Deny it and you've already
    lost.

It can happen if the MSM blasts it 24x7 over the air or some kind of incident ala George Floyd
stokes the fire, so to speak.
WOKeism is still smoldering and waiting to be rekindled.

Trump CAN'T be the candidate - far far too many just
can't STAND him ... it's not the MAGA, it's the
    damned PERSONALITY.

    Indeed.
I like most of Trump's policies, but I can't stand to watch him because he is so full of himself.
His poll numbers do continue to rise though but he will never win with just his base. He needs to
get independents and undecided voters as well.

I do think that the current state of the country is so horrible due to Biden that unless things
improve dramatically, there will be a lot of voters who will hold their nose and vote republican,
ie: against Biden, just to get rid of Biden. Assuming he lives that long.

Yet the Trump base MUST turn out fully to vote GOP.
How ya gonna DO that ? I'm not hearing anything and
now the clock is ticking ....

    Exactly.
People are really hurting under Biden though. I live in NY (the burbs, not NYC) and I see Trump
signs and flags everywhere. Saw a motorcycle club on the highway yesterday with some 50 members and
most had Trump flags on their bike.

The problem in NY is that NYC due to the population carries the election and the idiot leftists in
NYC will vote Democrat no matter who the candidate is.

DeSantis is maybe "too weak" a personality and his
I've heard no "larger" issues from him from foreign

good enough. Haley is actually better at the "big

DeSantis is irritating, at least to me. He doesn't project strength but kind of sounds like a
pansy. I know that sounds foolish as General MacArthur had a girlish voice as well and certainly
nothing like one would expect from an icon like him.
Nikki Haley is certainly polished and can deliver good speeches. She is also experienced in foreign
policy however from what I have read of her she will flip and flop her position to whatever is
    popular and get her votes.

    I'm just laying it out here ... a super-good
strategy and set of tactics WILL be required

"just because". NOT true. Gotta ECLIPSE the

    be the next Reagan ?

This is one thing the Democrats are good at, aside from cheating. They are a well oiled machine and
they know how to get the vote out. They stick together most of the time.
The Republicans are disorganized and split up between the Trump supporters, the Trump haters and
    the RINOS.
As the saying goes "united we stand, divided we fall".

People need to realize the importance of the 2024 election. We are literally voting to rescue our
country and keep our sovereignty and the republicans need to hammer away at that concept and forget
about the past. Offer real solutions not talking points. Leave Biden's lack of cognitive ability
out of it and concentrate on the issues the average person cares about.

Roe v Wade was 1973. The GOP grew steadily moving forward. Now that Roe v Wade is

This is because the GOP has no ideas, no popular issues. They're not FOR stuff, they're
only AGAINST stuff. They can only survive by finding emotional wedge issues to drive
    voters to their brand.

This is why Republicans will NEVER resolve illegal immigration. As a political tool to
drive voters to the polls, it's value is incalculable. They'll try to legislate morality
as best they can but again, if they solve the problems they claim are destroying America,
    their voting base disappears.

I've long settled on the "semesterist" POV here. It's mostly
based on brain development - the hallmark of a 'human'.

Before 18 weeks you have a teeny brain, mostly just some
reflexive shit and erratic EEG. Beyond 18 weeks and you
see considerable rapid gains in brain size/organization
and the EEG starts showing a much more 'human' pattern.

So, before 18, who cares ? But beyond 18 ... better find a
GOOD reason to get a court (execution) order.

18 is also PLENTY of time to know if you're preggers AND
determine if there's some really serious development/med
problem. I think most women could live with 18 ... but
not 10. If it's 10 or less they're gonna vote Dem.
Count on it. It'll be Wokie Forever. The GOP should
*never* have brought up this thing at this time - but
it just CAN'T resist ... GOTTA push the Jeezus shit
    on everybody ........

Women and fetuses are a very very legally inconvenient
