    Tropical storm Arlene is born in the Gulf Of Mexico
    about 500 miles off the Florida coast.

    Track is southward - sure to hit Cuba - before drifting
    off to the northeast over about a 7 day timeframe.

    There was a weak late-season cold-front, turned
    stationary-front, over north Florida and the Gulf
    which spawned the storm.
