Apparently this revolves around yearly INCOME
rather than "net worth". If Musk took zero
salary for a year he'd be "impoverished" in
this kind of stat.
Seems that in some states you actually have to
make about a megabuck every year in order to
be a "one percenter".
Of course this revolves around state-level
EXPENSES. If you live in a state where
everything's expensive then you're probably
making more money as compensation. A megabuck
in NYC or Conn buys you about the same level
of goodness as half that in WV or Alabama.
