Yet another tropical storm is headed towards
the Maine/Canadian border. Storm Phillppe is
not charted to strike almost exactly at the
border - but it's broad enough to affect a
much larger area.
The US northeast has received an unusual amount
of rain this year - indeed much of NYC was seriously
flooded just a week ago.
This storm will bring even MORE heavy rain to
the area.
Phillipe has been one of those storms that was
hard to predict. Initially projected to veer
northeast early on, then to track over the
DR/Haiti, and now to veer north-westish. The
wind strength will surely be just "nor-easter"
power when it makes landfall, but Phillipe
will still bring in a lot of tropical moisture
to much of New England.
