Look .. this isn't JUST Europe. Same thing in Oz and to
an increasing degree in the USA as well.
Those who own properties have realized they can charge
*anything* - and *somebody* will come up with the cash.
Alas this cuts out MOST of the pop.
So, they have to rent.
But rent has gone up proportionally as well.
In the USA there's a new social class now, the
"working homeless". Got perfectly good jobs, but
can't afford rent even on crappy housing. They
live in cars, or worse, often whole families.
Greed is sometimes good, but in this case it's
sealing it's own doom. Impossible rent/mortages
WILL spark POLITICAL action. There will be
govt micro-management. Those rental properties
you paid a lot for will be REGULATED and you'll
lose money out the ass.
Oh, the left wing probably has an advantage
here - not at all opposed to massive regulation
involving personal property .....
Yea, yea, it'll all go to SHIT in ten or twenty
years, but in the meanwhile there's political
advantage and damn the numbers.
