Research reveals that improper blood pressure measurement
techniques could lead to millions being misdiagnosed with
hypertension. The study showed significant discrepancies
in readings taken in non-recommended positions, emphasizing
the importance of following established guidelines for
    accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Millions of people with normal blood pressure may be
misclassified as having blood pressure that is too high
because of improper positioning when measurements are
    taken, new research suggests.

    . . .

This will be a huge blow, both for "big Pharma" and a
lot of docs profiting from 'monitoring/care'.

Yes, some people DO have consistent HBP which needs
some kind of treatment. However it now appears that
some, maybe many, people so diagnosed do NOT. Seems
like every 'provider' these days just LOVES to strap
on one of those electronic cuffs. I've had the
'reading' done in all sorts of odd positions and
they'll vary WIDELY - even done on the same day.

Now I can only blame the individual docs just SO much.
They're usually overwhelmed, have to hire poorly-
trained staff, and until now may not KNOW how relevant
proper posture/procedure really is. Alas, for docs,
it's the "everything looks like a nail" thing. What
they HAVE is meds, so they want you to take them.
If you won't they'll DUMP you, fearing you'll come
back with a lawsuit for "not doing anything".

Modern med really HAS become something of a scam,
or 'trap' at least. It's near-molecular sensitivity
tests and large-model stats mean EVERYBODY is "sick"
all the time. Makes "big Pharma/Med" happy of
    course, but ........

I stick to the "Doc-in-a-Box" for almost everything.
    They're To-The-Point.
