Number of older citizens set to balloon to 80.8 MILLION by
2040 - yet just one in eight can afford long-term care costing
    $11k a month

Some 70% of senior citizens will require long-term care, new
    report warns

But only 13% can afford assisted living without diving into
    their assets

They will need to pay $10,830 a month for a nursing home

    . . .

Had to pay over $8k for my Mom ... but that was a few
years ago and the place was partially subsidized by
    a religious org.

But, beyond the price - the PEOPLE. The "caregivers"
are gonna be Gen-Z/A2 ... and they'd rather kill you
than help you. Their "training" will be via "online"
discount programs. This is very very Not Good.

IF you can afford it ... consider 'assisted living' in
countries that still have SOME respect for their elders.
The western world AIN'T IT anymore, sliding back into
barbarity. The Chinese will eventually take over and
put the morons up against the wall - but not yet.

If you have a LOT of money, like eight+ figures, then
you CAN afford top-notch ... a "resort" retirement home -
but very few are in that category.

Unless there's some DRASTIC, nearly IMMEDIATE, big
change in medical tech that'll give you 250+ years
then your next 25 may be a REAL problem given
    current trends.
