Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie ended his flailing bid
for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination on Wednesday,
after failing to garner support for a campaign centered on
criticism of the policies and character of front-runner
Donald Trump.
. . .
With the the caucases coming up, and his dismally
low ratings, it was probably time for him to drop
out of it. It's now a Trump/Haley/DeSantis contest.
His main thing was trashing Trump - and, sometimes,
he had warranted gripes. However being Hate-Trump
was not gonna win him much. Haley and DeSantis
actually have "A Plan" of sorts (though they have
not fleshed it out well enough IMHO). This is what
The Voters WANT ... a "Well, what the hell, exactly,
are you gonna DO about All This Shit ?" thing.
Saul Alinsky, the leftist labor agitator, DID warn
about getting TOO specific however. Say "We Need
To Fix This !" gets you lots of support - but the
minute you provide any devilish details you lose
90% of your support :-)
Trump benefits from being a "known entity", someone
with a track record. With "the economy" especially
everybody remembers Good Times. Alas, he's also
kinda *insufferable* ... nobody but a few True
Believers can stand to listen to him for more
than five minutes. However if it puts more cash
in yer pocket ... who cares eh ? :-)
