TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida children under the age of 16 would
be banned from popular social media platforms regardless of
parent approval under a bill passed by the House on Wednesday,
a measure that is the top priority for the chamber's speaker.

The bill doesn't list which platforms would be affected, but
it targets any social media site that tracks user activity,
allows children to upload material and interact with others
and uses addictive features designed to cause excessive or
use. The bill would not affect apps used for private messages
    between individuals.

"They're taking advantage of kids growing up. That's their
business model. And why do they do it? To keep them hooked ...
with the dopamine hits that the platform gives our children
with every autoplay, with every like, with every push
notification," said bill sponsor Republican Rep. Tyler Sirois.

    . . .

    Ummmm ....

OK, some SM are indeed dangerous for 'minors'. Forget
the fun 'sex' stuff, we're talking physically DANGEROUS
stuff and, esp with Tic, Chinese govt agi-prop campaigns
very literally intended to collapse western govts and
    promote seriously terroristic 'heroes'.

First off with this law ... constitutional issues,
esp "freedom of speech/politics". The US govt has
limited powers in this domain and individual states
don't really have any more legal power.

Second - "vagueness" ... laws need to be pretty precise.
This one is super-vague. Seems like "Whatever Ron or
the state GOP *says* is a problem, today, is banned".
This is not great. Won't/shouldn't survive higher courts.
It's the same mentality as Wokie 'censoring', just aimed
    in a slightly different direction.

Third ... this ENCOURAGES "getting around", basically
illegal activities. Govts should never make laws that
they know will encourage lawless behaviors. Law should
not only BE respected, but be something that CAN be
respected. Prohibitions always have the opposite results.

IMHO, Florida - all 50 states - need more of a "What
Makes America Great and WHY" prop campaign. The idea
is to SHIFT MINDS a little bit. Bad ideas should be
    countered with better ideas.

Note that nobody flees FROM the USA ... always TO the
USA. That should be informational folks .......

So, final word, the GOP should NOT DO THE SAME SHIT
THE WOKIES DO. It's the Wrong Perspective for a
    Land Of The Free.
