Note that a LOT of the world is now "level 4" ... which
means "DON'T GO THERE !". Sometimes its due to terrorism,
but often crime levels or totalitarian govts that'll find
some excuse to fuck you over.
Oddly, boring old Sweden is no longer at the lowest risk
rank ... too many Islamists there now. Africa is almost
all bad news - except Zambia and Botswana for some reason.
South America is slipping with especial warnings about
Venezuela. Even Uruguay is now level-2, although Argentina
and Paraguay still warant level-1 "safe" ranks, though
who knows for how long as the politics are always weird.
The article does have rather detailed listings of WHY
the rankings are as they are. Note that holiday spots
like the Bahamas and Jamaica are no longer level-1
safe as crime and, Jamaica esp, social dissolution
have set in.
