Goodbye America! A quarter of US adults want their state to
secede - Texans, Californians, and New Yorkers are closest
to the exit
Connecticut is the most content state, with only 9 percent
wanting to exit
. . .
Alaska was tops at 36%, but Texas (briefly an independent
country) was next at 31%
The Dakotas and Wyoming were not included in the survey.
Of interest, NY and Cal rated rather high on the list
at 28% and 29% respectively. Maybe they want to form
the Woke Republic ???
It is difficult to find CONTEXT here however ... these
figures are recent, but the same sentiment COULD have
been there 100 years ago. The USA is a somewhat odd
construct, with full-federal-dominance being the more
usual national paradigm. This sometimes makes it
difficult to hold loyalty to the Whole.
Of course "sentiment" does not necessarily translate
into 'disloyalty'. If the poop hits the proverbial
propeller all US states immediately band together
as a powerful whole.
