This is apparently the largest floating crane on
the east coast.
The PROBLEM though is WHERE TO START ???
The steel bridge sections are HUGE and kinda folded
and coiled around each other. It's like a game of
Pick-up-Sticks, pull on the wrong place and the
whole thing is likely to move violently, endangering
all nearby. They don't need a huge crane ALSO at
the bottom of the channel ....
Perhaps the best tact is to skip trying to "cut off
bits at a time" ??? Use drones - air and underwater -
to place explosive charges on each sub-section and
then cut the thing to bits all at the same instant
while keeping everybody FAR away.
THEN the crane can pull up each smaller section
with far less risk of 'interactions'.
