    . . .

Gen Z is generally a DISASTER. However they're not
ALL bad, not ALL warped by the Covid debacle and
    rampant Wokeism.

What's interesting is that Gen-Z is showing a lot
of enthusiasm for "the trades" - construction and
industrial hands-on work. These were shat upon
    a decade ago, but now they're a fairly high-sal
growth area ... and you get the satisfaction of
    actually having "Done Something".

PART of this shift is the PRICE of a college ed,
and the too-often POOR job ops all those loans
and such provide. Sorry, we need maybe ONE expert
in Sumerian basket-weaving ... and "sociology"
doesn't deliver dick anymore because it really
doesn't MEAN anything and few NEED such "skills".

"STEM" degrees DO pay ... but only a small part of
the pop has the mindset/IQ/interest for such stuff.
Alas as even that segment gets saturated and "AI"
does more of the work, even STEM degrees will not
    promise a secure future.

But SOMEBODY always needs to be hands-on with
the steel, turning screws, building stuff, wiring
panels, even making sure the plumbing works - and
they are now making GOOD money. The "AI" will NOT
be well-suited to replace all that for a long time.

So, the next 25+ years, it's direct from the STEM
experts to the hands-on MAKERS. Oh, knowing how
to actually build the high-tech machines required
    to create chips/PV-panels and such ... $$$
