North-Central USA Just BAKES ... Heat Indexes over 100 Even To Canadian

This is kinda BAD folks.
Extreme heat/humidity pushed well up into the central
USA this week, leading to "heat indexes" over 100
degrees even in Canada-bordering states.
There is a static "heat dome" kind of where it was
a year ago, centered over east Texas, but adding to
that is a slightly stronger northbound Gulf moisture
plume pushing all the way up to North Dakota and
vicinity. Even Maine has been getting - for them -
roasted.
We DID have a la Nina ... but it only lasted a few
months and now it's back to the longstanding el Nino.
This brings serious storms into the Gulf coast and
also entrenches the summer heat dome. Expect several
Cat-3+ hurricanes to impact TX/LA this year. They
will come in kinda under Cuba, then turn north.
