‘Starter homes’ cost over $1 million in 237 US cities
. . .
Ok folks ... this just AIN'T WORKIN' .....
It has been a rather odd combo of greed - greed
by property-owners/builders AND greed to own at
ANY cost from the buyers.
Alas, like not ALL so long ago, this madness cannot
stand. Again, the banks/lenders will get seriously
hurt - and hurt the rest of us in the process.
People JUST DON'T LEARN. These 'bubble' markets
are an ongoing disaster all the way back into
the 19th century. It's something to do with
human psychology - we're just wired to go after
every seemingly-great trend/investment no matter
how stupid it gets.
A "starter home" should cost about $200k - and
be "decent" for the money. THAT is a figure that
works for most of the pop ... a straight-up 2/2.
This is realizable with pre-fab components,
wood or preferably concrete, that can be put
together in a number of interesting patterns
quick and cheap. Even internal walls can be
pre-made in fittable sections. Deliver on a
truck, lego-snap together so to speak.
But how to stop the "bubble" ? Pols always PROMISE
but tend to be owned by people who profit whether
the bubble is inflating or deflating.
But The Bubble is DAMAGING to 99% of the pop, causes
many problems, unrest, anger .....
