. . .
The big diff is the SHIPPING COST. Amazon charges
kind of a lot while WalMart has free shipping.
These are 'tiny' homes - 19x25 at max. The price
is less than a new economy car. You get one, maybe
two BR and a shower/toilet bathroom plus a 'living
room' of sorts. However, for one or two, esp older,
people these MAY be good enough. The three sections
can fit on a flat-bed truck. Bolt 'em together and ...
So, if you HAVE a little square of real-estate ...
Ok, these are likely not especially hurricane/tornado
safe ... kinda the same construction as a 'mobile home'
by and large. However most of the country doesn't get
hurricanes and tornadoes are mostly confined to a
certain midwest area (except for hurricane Milton -
but then those smashed even 'strong' homes).
Wonder what a cat-3 guaranteed tiny home would cost ?
Might do better welding together two or three old
cargo containers. The people who MAKE those containers
might profit by branching into the home market ...
add window/door frames and easier assembly of units.
The things ARE strong.
