Second 27: A large statue of an far eastern idol.
Measuring the video (nearby head size, idol size), the idol seems to be somewhere 4-6 meter high, on a raised platform which is also about that
high. This is a detailed idol, like a worked out metal shape.
Needless to say, this is completely against the Torah. The Torah
contains the death penalty for this behavior.

Is it fair that the Torah contains such a harsh punishment for seemingly innocent or even well meaning idol worship or just youthfull crazyness.
There are a lot of problems in the long term with idolatry on the one
hand, and with leaving the Torah on the other hand. Both can be deadly
and lead to war and tyranny, death and suffering on a greater scale.
One problem with idolatry is apathy: the idol will sort things out, we
have to do nothing. A second problem is bad teachings associated with
the idol, also often centering on apathy and also misguided ideas of superiority without real effort. While in the modern time, most
religions seem to have at least some good in it, it is usually not
enough. The damage is especially great in Israel, who have something
better: the Torah and law of Mozes (Moshe Rabbeinu).
You could also say: the crazyness is for the goyim, the gentiles. If
they want to experiment, that is their problem. Israel was to remain the example of the good, so that there is hope for humanity, an example. A
physical example, not just words. It is clear that words have little or
no effect on most people, hence I can write here ad infinitum about
economics, but it has no effect. People need to see, and see the result,
before they might take notice. They don't listen. Israel doesn't even
listen, despite their past and obligations.
It is also noteworthy, in a more political sense, that anyone should
know that serious Muslims have a deep hatred idolatry as well, certainly including far eastern idols. To put up this idol right under their noses
and dance before it, is also asking for trouble. It will invigorate and motivate some of their most angered, militant or however you want to put
it (criminals if you like, as it is still murder).
Whatever you think of this idolatry, it doesn't seem to be a smart move
to do this kind of thing in such a tense situation and place, and also
to drag youth into it who probably don't even have a clue about what
they may be doing, what the history is of things like this, and how it
may be perceived with Palestinian Militants, religious people (Muslems
and Jewish, both inside and outside of Gaza), and so on. It doesn't in
this sense matter if you think it should be this or it should be that.
You bring young people in additional danger, and for what need ? It
seems irresponsible to me. It wasn't so long ago that some huge Bhudda
statue was blasted off a mountain by some Muslem people (Afghanistan
2001).
I guess this may even be part of this idolatry. "The idol will fix it"
or "the world doesn't even exist, just close your eyes !".
In Torah like fashion the question can no be asked: did your Buddha get
up, and protected you ? You danced before it, you celibrated it, you
must have made the thing happy, but it did nothing for you. You died,
where taken hostage.
They broke the laws of their God, the Creator of Everything, God of
everyone and everything therefore (including Islam, who have the exact
same definition of God as do the Jewish people, in stark contrast to
for example the Europeans). The God of the Jews had no obligation to
help them, as they came out against his Torah, right in the land of
Israel. It shows again I suppose, that the State of Israel is not
Jewish. They are Jews of course, there is no question about that, but culturally it is not Jewish. It is not the Torah and increasingly not
even Judaism as it was known for many centuries.
I should say, that the severity of humanity on Earth, the risks it is
taking with its long term future, are such, that either some Nations or
all of them get things right very soon, or this can become a high
technological hell world sooner or later, and face a massive
unprecedented destructive war in which Billions may die. If Israel is to finally give the example again, and doesn't want to listen after decades
of nice messages from so many people including perhaps most importantly
Moshe Rabbeinu himself - through the Torah, just reading it, and its
prophets ... then it is understandable that at some point the hard point
of doing wrong is going to hit. What other options are there, while
still maintaining the free will of humanity ?
A child falls on its knee, and cries. He learns to stand up and walk
straight. The pain served a purpose.
A species is headed for a hell of their own making. The pain of them
killing each other in worse and worse numbers starts to bite. They cry,
and perhaps will want to learn how to become adults and avoid such
disasters in the future - an eternity that is. It is a matter of
technology. The technology keeps rising, although sometimes it falls,
but after certain levels have been reached which we see now, you can no
longer abuse it for war and tyranny. A war with spears or a war with
machine guns is one thing, but a war with nuclear bombs which each can
lay waste to a massive million+ person city with one push of a button is another matter, and then whatever else would be developed after that,
including tools and tricks of high technological tyranny, run by
criminals no less. It's over. This cannot be.
I hope the people in Israel who study the Torah and do its Mitsvoth, or
other people who are also good hearted and kind and willing to do what
is right, that they will be safe forever, and one day build a Redeemed
Israel. Hopefully soon ... it must be soon. Things are out of control on
so many vectors.
Here is one idea for starters: blame the idol, and destroy it. Apologize
to the Muslems for having danced before the idol. This will make them
happy a little perhaps, while both sides are suffering and people have
lost those they loved the most - a pain which might never fully recover.
Another sad day on Earth.
