• Economics: get seculars over the line, together with the religious

    Hello [blog from Israel],

If you do no longer wish to discuss the matter of economics or how to
logically understand it so you can perhaps make an impact for the better,
also because you wish to focus on the war, then I also wish you a good
day and success in your endeavors.

For the record though, I will reply to a few of your statements. You
don't have to read or reply, it's fine.

    ---------------v---------------

I am not trying to emulate the Torah. I am arguing for Israel to come
back to the Torah economy, using logical arguments about economics itself.

The Torah came into law at a time when slavery was common. It made laws
for foreign slaves to make their lives better and for Jewish people to
    liberate themselves from slavery.

You wrote" "You are very confused and want to keep the evil from being
rich, when that's for God to handle. And if it goes against Torah,
    then God punishes."

Perhaps this says everything, and why it may not be fruitful for us to
continue our discussion for now. You seem to believe that God will take
care of legal issues in a Nation, punish a criminal, etc. I believe that
we are here on Earth to do that ourselves. This is also the Torah. You
are going against the Torah with this thinking, if I may say so ?

The Torah has laws and sets up Justice with courts and punishments. The
Judge is a human, the punishment will be executed by humans. The Judge
will hear the case with his (God given) ears, and make a determination
based on the law and the evidence using his (God given) mind and
soul. A court case in the Torah does typically not involve a miracle, punishment is not typically executed by for example a fire from heaven,
and the decision regarding guilt is not arrived at by throwing a dice
    while praying to God.

Regarding your secular majority: this is also why I propose to you
what I proposed, because it can get seculars over the line, since it is
about logic rather than religion, and it is also encompassing the good
in Capitalism and the good in Socialism, so that they can both come
together with the religious, and ...

    ---------------^---------------

But ... let's leave it here then.

Have a good week ! Thanks for talking, I appreciate that very much. If
you ever think you need to let me know about some argument, maybe you
want to double down on your position, don't hesitate to write, I always
    like to see an argument.

    best regards,
    Jos Boersema (Netherlands)
