Buddha’s birthday is celebrated on April 8 in Japan and some
other locations, though most Buddhists celebrate it at Vesak
on the full moon of May.

    From google:

"On April 8th, Buddhists in Japan and some other East Asian countries
celebrate Buddha's Birthday, also known as Hanamatsuri (Flower Festival) or Kanbutsu-e, commemorating the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism.”

April 8 is also International Romani Day.
