    The Ukraine documents that were circulated by pro-Russian sources contained crudely photoshopped modifications to casualty figures to suggest that Ukrainian forces had suffered significantly more casualties, and Russian
    forces significantly less casualties, than had actually been assessed by American intelligence. Whoever doctored them simply copied Russia’s estimated killed-in-action figure of 35,500–43,500 and pasted it in the Ukrainian field for “Total Assessed Losses,” while doing the reverse for Ukraine’s number of 16,000–17,500.
