The conservative movement jumps to the defence of men like Russell Brand
and Andrew Tate whilst wilfully ignoring serious issues that affect
ordinary people. What motivates leading conservative influencers in their desperate bids to court men who are anything but conservative?

Here's one conservative who (a) cannot stand Russell Brand and has no
intention of defending him and (b) knows very little about Andrew Tate
and has no intention of defending him either.

Brand, in case you weren't aware of it, is a solid lefty, like Assange
    (another non-defence from me).

I believe it was an interview on the US Bill Maher show which triggered
    the accusations.

I'm sure that will greatly concern both of them.

It ought to slightly concern the OP, if anyone at all. He, aftr all,
asserted that "the conservative movement" would leap to the defence of
    Brand and Tate.

Mr Brand doesn't seem to be a very nice person, but of late he has been publicly saying some very anti-Narrative things about vaccines and
Ukraine. In US conservative thought, his interview on the popular Bill
Maher show caused these accusations to be dug up by the UK legacy media.

Note that they were *not* made by the alleged victims to the police in
the first instance, nor of course were they raised at the time of the
    alleged offences.

Note also, and this is the important bit, how a UK government department
has requested foreign private companies to retain Brand's earnings, not
on the basis of his convictions for crimes committed, not even for being charged by the UK prosecution system, but simply on the basis of
anonymous accusations for which no possible evidence can exist.

Not only has 'innocent until proven guilty' disappeared completely from
the UK justice system, but it has been exchanged with 'assumed guilty
before even being charged with anything'.
