    Bear in mind the UK has been governed by Conservatives for a couple of decades. Labour
    has only just been voted in.

    They were not “voted in”. Conservatives were voted out. And, I might add, it was because they were doing something you praised: lying to their
    voters. Constantly campaigning on stopping immigration while increasing it
    year after year.
