Israel’s ongoing attacks into West Bank cities involve a lot of
bulldozers, not firing shots but digging big spikes into the roads and
ripping them up.
Israel’s excuse for doing this is to destroy hiding places for IEDs. Seems the naughty, ungrateful Palestinians have been finding new ways to fight
back against the lawful, moral occupation. So they need to be collectively punished for the actions of a few: if Israel cannot use those roads to
drive around, shooting at things and people, then Palestinians must not be allowed to use those roads to go about their lawful business, either.
But what Israel is really doing is creating lots of holes in those roads.
And if you want to place weaponry like IEDs, what would be good hiding
places? Why holes, of course: the deeper and darker, the better.
And Israel wonders why, every time it invades those cities, the
Palestinians fight back at them ever more fiercely, and cause them even
more casualties, and damage more of their expensive machinery. It’s like
they don’t want the nice, friendly Israeli killers in their midst, for
some reason.
