Interesting to see how those reports, into how that farcical “aid distribution” by that “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” group fell apart into
violence yesterday, have evolved into today.

All the reports I saw yesterday talked about warning shots being fired and
the whole event descending into disorder. But only one -- Al Jazeera --
said there had been any deaths. It said at the time 3 were killed, and 7
    more were missing.

Today, other news outfits are starting to concede that yes, maybe there
had been deaths. So far at it’s at least one killed. No doubt that number will rise over time.

It wasn’t just warning shots: the so-called “aid distributors” were shooting to kill. And you wonder why the UN and other independent aid
agencies don’t want to touch these GHF people with a ten-foot pole.

That GHF crowd don’t have a bloody clue. They force the Palestinians to
crowd together at a small number of aid-distribution points, and then
complain when they can’t control the resulting crush with violence.

The UN and independent aid agencies have something like 400 aid-
distribution points throughout Gaza. That way, they go to where the Gazans
are, rather than forcing them to come to a few aid centres.

Of course the GHF is all political. They don’t want to take any aid to northern Gaza, because Israel wants all Palestinians out of there, so it
can steal all that land for itself.

So they said they were closing down for a day to conduct some kind of maintenance. And now the closure has extended into a second day.

They shouldn’t bother to reopen. Ever. They should just stay shut, give
up, get out, and go home. Leave the aid deliveries to the professionals.
And Israel should stop supporting these amateurs, and stop trying to
obstruct and sabotage those professionals from doing their job.
