On September 24, three individuals from the Pascagoula/Moss Point area of Jackson County were arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and
    Shooting into a Motor Vehicle.

The suspects, identified as 21-year-old Trevor Barron, 23-year-old Cori
Davis, and 22-year-old Tamoko Johnson, were apprehended by the D’Iberville Police Department following an incident involving gunfire aimed at a law enforcement vehicle.

According to a press release by Chief Shannon Nobles, investigators from
the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit were conducting surveillance on a silver Honda Accord occupied by the three suspects. The surveillance began in Biloxi and continued into D’Iberville, where, at the intersection of Rodriguez Street and Gorenflo Road, one of the occupants
fired a handgun at the investigators’ vehicle. A bullet hit the
windshield, injuring a Harrison County Sheriff’s Department investigator
in the face and head. Fortunately, the injuries were non-life-threatening.

The suspect vehicle was stopped shortly after the shooting by a
D’Iberville Police K-9 unit, and all three suspects were taken into
custody without further incident. Following interviews by the Criminal Investigation Division, the suspects were formally charged with Aggravated Assault and Shooting into a Motor Vehicle.

Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set bond for each
suspect at $250,000. They have been transported to the Harrison County
Adult Detention Facility, pending their initial court appearance.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted in conjunction with
    the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities urge anyone with additional information about this case to
contact the D’Iberville Police Department at 228-396-4252 or Mississippi
Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898. Tips can be given anonymously.
