    I don't know if any of the old scs gang still checks in here, but I
    thought I should post the news of the death of the scs 'matriarch',
    Helen Ramsay.

    She died a few days ago in Ontario, and will be greatly missed by those
    of us who knew her, both online and in real life.

    I only knew her on-line, but we emailed about geneaology several tims.
    She was a good person. Far too many people I've known on line have disappeared, without any way to know why in most cases.


    Yes, she was a beautiful person, inside and out.

    I'm sorry to hear that, Sheila. Helen was a lovely lady. She even
    mailed me once to check I was OK because I hadn't been posting on SCS
    for a while.

    I'm glad we got to spend time together, both in the US and the UK.
