    Dear Group. There are a lot of instances on the internet where an Alice Moton is given as a wife to William Basset son of Ralph Basset and Margaret Dethick.

    Alice is then said to be a daughter of Robert Moton and Marjery Mallory daughter of Anketil Mallory and Alice Driby.

    William Bassett and Alice are the parents to a William Basset with wife Joan Byron.

    Is there anything concrete as to the wife of William Bassett?

    Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything, other than that she was definitely not the daughter of Robert Moton and Majery Mallory
