Hello,
this is a long shot, but I am looking for information on my great-great grandmother and her parents. My great-great grandmother was Maria Mathilde Isphording, born 1889 in Attendorn, she died in Noertershausen ( no dates). Her parents were Ferdinand
Isphording, born circa 1852 - 1926, born and died in Attendorn). Maria's mother was Elisabeth Bellebaum born circa 1857, died Jan 2nd.1935, also born and died in Attendorn)
I have found Ferdinand Robert Anton Isphording, and the dates could match, but he didn't have a daughter named Maria Mathilde and wasn't married to Elisabeth Bellebaum.
Maria Mathilde went on to marry Heinrich Zimmer aus Erfurtshausen (1879-1949) and they had a daughter, Else Zimmer ( 1908 - 2003) who was my great-grandmother.
I realise I'm writing this 22 years later, but just in case this will get me a little further in my family quest.

((( Anton came to the US first in 1 July 1836 at the age of 24. Records show he arrived with cousin Caspar, age 27. Almost certainly his brother Joseph and his wife were also there. He returned to Germany, with his brother
Joseph and possibly Caspar, shortly after the death of his brother's wife, Maria. ?? )))
He came back to the US in 1845, see card of Anselm, either to New York or Baltimore.
Following the death of Anselm the family moved to Cincinnati, OH area. Anton married his aunt, Elisabeth. He was a shoemaker and dealer in leather and findings.8
Anton and Elisabeth are burried in St. John's Cemetary, Cincinnati, OH, lot 42, section 1.4
They belonged to St. Clement Church in Convington, KY.4
In the same year that Anton married his wife he left for the US with her,
his father, brother and sister. Also in that year his first son, Anton, is born (1845) in New York. In 1850 and 1860 Anton is recorded as living in Cincinnati, Ohio with 3 respectively 5 children.
Anton is recorded as being a shoemaker (1850) and a dealer in leather
(1860). His personal estate was valued at 7,000 (1860).9
On the 21st of October 1884, in the afternoon at 5.30, after long suffering, died Anton Isphording, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 6 days.
Anna Elisabeth Isphording, born Teipel, his wife, sons Anton, Albert and Franz, daughters Florentine (Order of Notre Dame) and Antonette. Daughters
in law: Louise Isphording (Anton's wife), born Dieckmann, Clara, born Mohr and Maria, born Weverle (?).10

Anthony left his wife and was last traced to the Canadian North woods.12
4 Born in New York City, shortly after his parents arrived from Europe. The family settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. He met and married Louisa there. Record thereafter is sparce. They have lived for a short time in Richmond, Indiana. The family tells the story that he went west allone to "strike it rich" in the gold fields. He never returned.

There are records showing Amelia (Emilie) and Anton Isphording both of whom were born in 1862 and died in 1891 one day apart. Interment recors of St. John Cemetary, Cincinnati, OH indicat an "A. Isphording" being buried in grave #5. I have found no more definitive information.4
Were they twins? Too coincidental, they would have died a day apart.
