    German Uboat crews listened to Atlantik Sender to get latest sports results.They were unaware that this was a British transmitter sending
    out cleverly arranged Black Propaganda to lower morale. Latest football
    scores were received in London on a teleprinter left behind when a
    German news agency departed prior to outbreak of war, this was
    immediately sent out by Atlantik Sender, often before it was broadcast by German stations. As stated Goebbels praised the British for their
    propaganda. The British were aware from bugged POW conversations that
    Uboat crews listened to these broadcasts and enjoyed the banned jazz
    music etc.
