Mosab Hassan Yousef asked the audience: "If you had any information
before Oct 7, would you report it to the authorities to save lives?"
The crowd in the Oxford Union debate voted. About 75% declared they
would let Oct 7 happen. The audience was pro-terror, pro-death.
Many people who viewed that horror from their homes, were Oxford alumni
who attended these debates and stated with incredible frustration that
they no longer recognize that institution.
The Oxford Union is a distinguished institution that has taken part in educating tens of kings, prime ministers, and noble laureates.
How was that place eroded to host an audience that sought to promote a massacre? How did that institute was taken over? How did it manage to
close its gates to Israelis and Jews who feared for their lives to
attend? How come the audience was so homogenous, so disrespectful,
booing and threatening the pro-Israeli speakers? Is that the last
bastion of free speech?
Hassan Mosab Yousef is the son of the founder of Hamas. As an Arab, he
decided to save many lives by informing on Palestinian terror attacks
that were about to happen, targeting Israelis. Yousef did that simply
because he cherish life, unlike most of the Oxford Union audience who
cherish death, precisely like Hamas.
At that moment, the words of Mosab Hassan Yousef echoed so loudly,
putting that institution in a very problematic light. Instead of self-reflection, the debate organizers decided to leave Yousef out of
the YouTube channel. It is called silencing, which is a typical strategy
in many tyrannical states across the Middle East.
This is a wakeup call for Oxford and for the UK.

The terrorists play a long game- they don’t worry about immediate
action. They are aware of the weaknesses of Great Britain and the Inited States. All democracies will be destroyed because they will bide their
time and then simply use the ballot box as a weapon and put their
misogynistic, women hating and anti Jewish and anti Christian leaders in
place.

Agreed. That was the plan drawn up by the Muslim brotherhood and exposed
in 1992 in the holy Land investigation in the United states. At the time
the Muslim brotherhood's plan was the 25-year-old plan it is taking a
little longer than 25 years but it is speeding forward with great
success aided and abetted by an ignorant and myopic media that doesn't
know squat about anything.

the only way the UK can stop the Islamic political takeover by the
ballot box is to bring in compulsory voting at council and parliamentary levels. With compulsory voting, all UK citizens will be made aware who
the Islamic and non-Islamic candidates are. This will go some way to
negating the very strong influence of the Mullahs in their mosques
demanding that all true believers vote for their Islamic candidates.

I have been reading insights giving news updates on Gaza - these are
from independent journalists, most of them Muslim, who post their videos
on different channels to the norm, equivalent to a couple of Russian pro democracy journalists who feed those interested on the minutiae of the
Ukraine war, whom i follow. I am lucky, inasmuch as I can understand
Arab quite well. One video shows a primary school teacher of around 30
years old explaining how he manages two jobs - one, teaching his small
charges, the other being a committed Hamas soldier.

“The crowd in the Oxford Union debate voted. About 75% declared they
would let Oct 7 happen.”
Judging from all the bag heads and beardies in the audience, I can’t say I’m surprised that these reptiles voted the way they did.
It should be pointed out however, that it was Yoseph Haddad who said
this, not Mosab Hassan Yousef. He was scheduled to speak, but was
prevented from doing so.
Edit. In the light of more material released on YouTube, Mosab Hassan
was present and did speak albeit against a cacophony of jeering and
booing, and it was in fact him who asked who supported the October 7
attack. It seems it was more like 95% of those present welcomed the attack.
in very different debate conducted in a more civilized manner held
earlier this year, Douglas Murray and debate partner Natasha Hausdorf
succeeded in persuading two-thirds of audience members at the Munk
Debate in Toronto that antisemitism and anti-Zionis are the same. While
61 per cent of listeners supported the proposition before the debate,
that number grew to 66 per cent following the discussion. Support for
the other side of the argument dropped from 39 per cent to 34 per cent. Attempts to disrupt this debate were thwarted by security. In marked
contrast at the Oxford debate, very inadequate security enabled massive disruptions and intimidation prevented Jews from attending thus
resulting in not a debate but a debacle.
As far as I’m concerned, when Hamas released their 1988 charter Israel
should have taken it as a clear declaration of war and stomped them
there and then. Had they done so, Gaza wouldn’t be in ruins with
thousands including innocents dead.
And who thought trading one hapless IDF soldier for 2000 terrorist
prisoners including monkey face Sinwa and one of the Tamimi clan, aunt
of the infamous ‘curly Temper’ that took part in the Sbarro Pizza restaurant attack was a good idea?
The clear message from this and the other attempts at appeasement is we
should not judge Hamas and their supporters by Judeo Christian values,
because they will always see these values as weaknesses to be exploited.

That’s nothing new for the Oxford union. In the 1930s I believe just
prior to World War II, the Oxford union voted not to go to war against
Hitler. I believe quite a few of them died in the enduing conflict
fighting for the UK.

“This House will under no circumstances fight for King and Country", was passed in 1933 by 275 votes to 153. The result sparked off a national
outcry in the press, and Winston Churchill denounced it as "that abject, squalid, shameless avowal" and "this ever shameful motion" 75 million
deaths later - 25 military and 50 civilian and with 25 million deaths
from starvation, many would still argue that the debaters were right and Churchill was wrong.

No - “many” would not say the debaters were right. Just a few misguided individuals would believe that… the same type of people who would think
the Holocaust was a good idea and really regret that Hitler and the
Japanese lost. These evils were only stopped by WW2.
WW2 was truly a war of good v evil. There are very few such wars where
the choices are as clearly defined as in WW2.

But, of course, in the 1933 the Oxford Union passed a motion (274 /153)
that they would not fight for King and Country. So not much has changed,
has it?
