What does charter mean to you?

A charter is an agreement. It means almost all agree on basic rules of law and order.
I cannot find the last piece of the puzzle

    So I found this guy>>

The author of this blog, David T.S. Fraser, is a Canadian privacy lawyer who is a partner with the firm of McInnes Cooper. He has a national and international practice advising corporations and individuals on matters related to Canadian privacy laws.

This would be more tricky in a province like Alberta, where there is a provincial general privacy law that excludes PIPEDA

    tricky?

no, just time consuming...it took me 14 years to gather data..
in fact, there is too much background noise
    I am from Alberta
    Can we start here?
Does all the background noise originate in Alberta?

    What is a public body?
The term "public body" is defined under section 1(p) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the FOIP Act) and includes:

    Government of Alberta
    Municipalities
    Metis settlements
    Drainage districts
    Irrigation districts
    Housing management bodies
    School jurisdictions
    Post-secondary institutions
    Public libraries
    Police services
    Police commissions
    Health care bodies
The FOIP Regulation includes a Schedule of the Government of Alberta departments, boards, agencies and commissions that are subject to the Act. Ministerial Regulations may also provide additional designations of public bodies.

An unofficial alphabetical index (PDF) is available that lists all agencies, boards, commissions and other entities that have been designated as public bodies by regulation.

Contact the FOIP Coordinator of a public body if you have questions about how that public body manages your personal information, or you want to request access to information or a correction of your personal information. Contact information is available
in the Directory of Public Bodies.
