SAN FRANCISCO – In a resurfaced, 2009 clip from public access television,
the author of 10,000 Dresses, a transgender-centric book geared toward children, Marcus Ewert alleges that he was mailed pornography by RuPaul
Charles when he was a child. Charles is the host of the critically
acclaimed show called RuPaul’s Drag Race, a show where gay men compete to perform cabaret routines that challenge foundational gender norms and the limits of obscenity.

“…this was like ’84, so way way back…they had an address on the back where you could write a fan letter. I said in this letter ‘ya know, I’m homosexual and I hope that’s ok with you. I think it probably will be because you’re [sic] performer and performers tend to be more comfortable with things like homosexuality…like no clue that this guy I had seen dancing around on stage in this ripped silver tunic with one nipple showing…that this guy was gay. That’s how naïve I was! And then he wrote me back! He wrote me back like a ten page letter and it was kind of also
like this care package of porn. He had all this Xeroxed porn and also
bumper stickers of himself and everything. Like I said this is way
pre-him becoming famous when he was just a little local performer in
Atlanta. So we became phone buddies for a couple years so that was a
pretty big influence on me from age 13 to 15 because I was really
closeted and really shut down…it helped to have a friend like RuPaul.”
Marcus Ewert, once known as Mark Ewert, has written several children’s
books. His titles include Mummy Cat and She Wants to Be Haunted in addition
to the aforementioned title, 10,000 Dresses. 10,000 Dresses stands apart
from Ewert’s other books in that it is overtly political in nature. The
book is about a boy who believes he is a girl and dreams of wearing 10,000 Dresses, some of which are magical. Eventually, the boy makes his dreams
come true despite the protestations of his mother. It is produced by
Triangle Square, a subsidiary of Seven Stories Press which publishes “works of the imagination and political titles by voices of conscience.”
Written in 2008, 10,000 Dresses was chosen for the American Library Association‘s Rainbow Book List of 2009. Ewert’s book was specifically recognized along with 3 other titles out of 45 as “…well-written and/or well-illustrated titles with authentic and significant gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered/queer/questioning (GLBTQ) content for
youth from birth through age 18.” Ewert, in part 3 of his interview while
in drag, explains how for him, drag and transgenderism are directly linked
and perhaps even somewhat interchangeable:
“In my 20s I did a lot of drag, and I would present publicly as female
and I’m really glad I did…I’ve thought about transitioning, more than casually…if I were like a twenty-something kid today, what is it…2009? I would be very interested.”
The term drag, referring to public performances as a hypersexualized
version of the opposite sex, did not exist in common vernacular in 1985. So when Ewert wrote what he referred to as approximately a “ten page letter” to RuPaul, asking for acceptance as a homosexual teenager, he had no idea RuPaul was gay as well. That is until RuPaul allegedly wrote back a multiple-page letter, in addition to sending RuPaul promotional material as well as a “…care package of porn.” The two exchanged phone numbers and became “phone buddies” from the time when Ewert was 13-years-old until approximately 15-years-old, according to Ewert’s allegation.
Ewert then alludes to a gap in his social life among infamous homosexuals. After losing touch with RuPaul around the age of 15, Ewert again confirms
he began sleeping with Allen Ginsberg at the age of 17 in 1988. This adds credibility to the allegation as Larry Tee, RuPaul’s associate, states in multiple interviews that he and RuPaul made a semi-permanent move to New
York City from Atlanta in 1986.
Allen Ginsberg, who was Jewish, was a lifelong activist (1926-1997) for
both gay rights and “man/boy” relationships. Ginsberg felt the struggles were connected and is revered by both open pedophiles and the LGBT movement
as a whole. He is still featured on the North American Man/Boy Love Association’s (or NAMBLA) web page even today.
Negative publicity for the drag movement
Since 2009, drag has moved from the nightclubs into libraries. In 2015, Michelle Tea (born Michelle Tomasik), an anti-White activist of Jewish
descent, organized the first drag queen story hour in San Francisco. Since then, drag queen story hours, brunches, lunches and get-togethers geared towards children have increased exponentially.
Several of RuPaul’s contestants have jettisoned a drag career out of their time on RuPaul’s Drag Race, including season 7 contestant and
cross-dresser, ‘Kasha Davis.’ Davis has made the news for his drag queen story hour appearances several times, including in Rochester, NY.
Accusations of grooming children into the LGBT lifestyle have thus far
fallen on deaf ears. Any argument is shut down by retaliatory accusations
of spreading ‘hate’ and ‘ignorance.’ However, nationalists and conservative
citizens alike point to cases like Brice Williams, a Pennsylvania-based,
drag queen story hour performer charged with possession of Child Sex Abuse Material (or CSAM).
Perhaps that case might be excusable in and of itself as the ‘queen’ was not a registered sex offender. No such benefit of the doubt could be
offered in the case of drag queen “Tatiana Mala Nina,” also known as Alberto Garza, a sex offender who had a record of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy. Despite his lifetime registry requirement with the National
Sex Offender Registry, the local library hired the man to read to children.
The public was not made aware of the threat Garza posed until an activist group, Mass Resistance revealed the findings of their investigation into
Garza. This took place in 2019 with the previous case mentioned occurring
more recently in 2022.
These two arrests are hardly the end of the debauchery. Just this year
“drag mentor,” Kelsey Meta Boren, an occasionally bearded woman, was caught uploading videos of CSAM featuring an 11-year-old child to the internet.
