In 1990 Democrat Attorney General Anthony Celebreeze Jr. was the
presumptive nominee for governor of Ohio. There was one little problem.
A devout Catholic, Celebreeze had been a staunch opponent of abortion.
Even back then, that was unacceptable in the Democrat Party. He knew
the nomination was his if he would just renounce his past opposition to abortion. In announcing his candidacy for governor, Celebreeze did just
that. He completely reversed himself and became an ardent advocate
for the pro-choice position. The voters saw through the ploy for what it
was and Celebreeze lost in a landslide.

Now history is repeating itself. Democrat nominee for the open Senate seat
is longtime congressman Tim Ryan, also a devout Catholic. He too had been
a lifelong opponent of abortion. Several years ago he began having
ambitions to run for the Senate. He knew the Democrats would not nominate
a pro-life candidate so like Celebreeze, he flip flopped on the issue. Not wanting to repeat Celebreeze's mistake, he switched his position years
before announcing his candidacy for the Senate, hoping the voters would
not make the connection. He's hoping for a lot. It's bound to be brought up by his opponent for the Senate seat.

Tim Ryan has fostered a position as a moderate. He talks a good game but
on the key issues, he has voted straight party line. He has been a toady for Pelosi and if elected to the Senate would be the same for Schumer.

    Democrats can't even spell principles!
