I had thought nasal COVID vaccines the way to go, maybe from the hype
(Topol?) over IgA but maybe not so much now:

I wasn’t aware of the prevalence for IgA deficiency (1 in 500). Plus this
on side effects: “Even if we figure out how to stimulate the immune system, we need to account for inflammation. Think about what can happen with your
arm after you get a vaccine (heat, swelling, pain). It might be more
serious if that were to happen in your airway.”
Funny thing is my three polio shots had not the slightest after effect. I
had noticed my updated COVID booster and flu shot late last year. The flu
shot hurt worse at first until the COVID booster left it in the dust and
kicked my ass. My 2nd shingles shot seemed worse than a tetanus shot.
