• Planet Earth III

From Reentrant@21:1/5 to All on Mon Oct 23 09:53:45 2023
The latest BBC / Attenborough series started yesterday. Almost the first
words spoken were "Darwin" and Evolution".

Absolutely stunning in 4k / HLG on BBC iPlayer. <https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001rswk/planet-earth-iii-series-1-1-coasts>
You might need a VPN or other jiggery-pokery if outside the UK but well
    worth it.

Sir David still looking good and sounding great at 97.

They've been running the previous Planet Earth series on the BBC cable
channel in the US and advertising that the new series is coming.

And it's here. As usual, Attenbourough's narration and spectacular photography are
on full display, but it isn't so much about evolution per se. I'd had a glass of nice wine
with dinner, and Sir David's mellifluous voice put me to sleep toward the end.

I thought that the first episode was pretty good. It was about nature
and the diversity of life on earth. That snail eating blind angel was
    pretty interesting.

Agree completely. I intend to watch all the episodes, and do my best not to fall asleep. For old buzzards like me, that's sometimes a challenge.
