    ranks 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and 1st, respectively.

I'm surprised that Trump isn't No. 1 in all these surveys. Back in 2016
I read that George W. Bush was looking forward to the inauguration, as
he would no longer be considered the worst president in history.

This isn't off topic because Trumps anti-science attitude likely
factors prominently in the ratings.  He is likely responsible for
hundreds of thousands of deaths due to covid 19.  He refused to take
the advice of disease experts and consistently lied about the severity
of the infections and spread misinformation about containment and
treatments. He would eventually admit that he lied about how bad the
situation was in order to keep the public from panicking (probably
another lie). 400,000 had already died by the time Trump left office,
and the total would top 1.2 million.  It should be remembered that
Trump refused to acknowledge and support the initial plans of medical
experts to try to contain the infection.  States had to make up their
own containment efforts.  The initial claim was if the advised steps
were taken that the pandemic might be limited to less than 200,000
deaths in the US.  It was an over optimistic estimate, but it has been
estimated that Trump was responsible for around 40% of that 400,000
mortality and probably a good chunk of the subsequent mortality that
occurred after he left office. Trumps anti-science covid stupidity even
extended to making anti- vaccination popular among Trumpies even though
Trump had OK'd the attempts to produce a vaccine.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9115435/

The stupidity of the Trump era is likely affecting the CDC's and USDA's
response to the Dairy influenza epidemic.  The CDC has never even
wanted to start testing and contact tracing.  The Republicans have
wanted to prosecute Fauci, basically, for demonstrating how wrong Trump
    had always been.

    Ron Okimoto

It may be off topic because Trump's stupidity involving science is
likely a minor factor in his popularity, but the poll that determined
that half the voters believed Trump was a fascist, but 8% of those that believed that he was a fascist still supported Trump and would vote for
him. The first time Trump was elected the klan, Neo Nazis, and other
white supremists groups made a point to voice their support for Trump.
Trump accepted their support, and would not condemn those ultra right
wing groups. When Trump wasn't reelected those groups had stayed out
of endorsing Trump, likely, because they did not want to hurt his
chances of being reelected, but likely a lot of that 8% that still will
vote for Trump are among those groups or aligned with them politically.
The ID perps do not endorse candidates except if they support the ID
scam, and they keep bringing up how bad the Darwinist Nazis were when
Trump would likely be as good of a buddy to Hitler as he has been to
Putin. We live in a crazy world when a convicted felon and fascist is
not only the Republican presidential candidate, but he has already been president for one term and it is a dead heat on voters supporting him
    for this election.

Trump's own Vice President has claimed that Trump wanted him to subvert
the constitution that they had both swore to uphold, and that he
refused to do Trump's illegal bidding, but millions of US voters will
be casting their ballots for the guy. The level of denial is
equivalent to what TO has witnessed among IDiots, and other
anti-evolution creationists for decades. The political historians that
have rated Trump to be among the worst presidents that there ever was
(he ranks the worst among one such group) likely have quite a few of
the guys that were in on making that decision will still be voting for
Trump. Several of the polls where Trump was not rated at the bottom
were skewed by Republican favoratism. Those Republican political
historians do not understand that Trump is not a Republican. Trump is
just in it for himself, and always has been. Trump switched political parties to get elected. Trump never wanted to be a servant of the
people. As the fascist that half the voters agree that he is, he has
only wanted people to serve his interests.

Yes, there are problems with the immigration system. Trump want to make
those problems worse so that he has a group he can use exactly like
    Goebbels used the Jews.

And, of course, "illegals" is code for "brown people." Trump is
promising to deport 10-20 million people (the numbers vary from day to
day) but what he is notably NOT promising is the kind of bureaucracy necessary to figure out who is here legally — including birthright citizens, who may have little or no documentation — and who is not.

He's also not talking about how he will pay for these mass deportations. People are about the most expensive thing you can move; conservative estimates of the total cost range from a third of a trillion dollars to
half a trillion dollars. (And a timeline of ten years or more.)

The camps he's promising to build (also with no way to pay for them)
will house 50k to 70k people. This is not an adequate holding and
processing capacity, even with the most favorable possible assumptions
about the speed and efficiency of deportations.

It's not even clear what "deportation" means, since some of the people
he's promising or implying he'll deport have no other place to go. Some
are citizens of the US; others fled their home countries due to
persecution or human rights abuses. At any rate, we can't simply dump hundreds of thousands of people of questionable origin and citizenship
on another country's shores; they would quite rightly regard that as an
act of aggression. Wars have started over less. At the very best, we'd
    be alienating vital trade partners.

A moment's consideration makes it obvious what Trump is really promising
are vans running around black-bagging brown people and those the far
right perceives as political enemies (certainly including trans people
like myself) and then shoving us in camps to die of crowding, disease,
    and neglect.

Maybe, but although Pinochet was awful everyone seems to forget, even
if they were conscious of it at the time, that Argentina and Brazil
(much larger countries) were worse, during the same period. Note also
that the Roman Catholic Church behaved well in Chile (thanks to the
leadership of Cardinal Raúl Silva Henríquez), whereas in Argentina and
Brazil it collaborated with the dictatorships (with the support of the
present Pope, then Archbishop of Buenos Aires).

In some ways the Falklands War was a victory for Argentina, as it
enabled them to get rid of the dictators, whereas it gave the UK ten
    more years of Mrs Thatcher.

There is no need for truth and science any more; Trump will abolish
anything that doesn't agree with him. He's a very stable genius. Expect
the worst, then you won't be disappointed.

Handbaskets will cost more, bet on it.

I believe most migrants come to the US expecting a higher quality of

You are phenomenally stupid so let me spell it out for you:

"Open borders" is the policy of the Biden/KamelToe administration.

    Period.

That aside, I'd really like to know what processing plant laid off all
it's workers and replaced them with illegal immigrants, yet somehow this >>> escaped the scrutiny of ICE but jtem knows about it.

This is going to be shocking so I hope you're sitting down but Tyson
Foods agrees with you! They insist that their closing plants, moving
operations to plants hiring illegals is *Totally* coincidence!

Again: Mere coincidence, closing one plant and moving operations to
a different plant, one hiring illegals!

    Here:

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2024/03/21/tyson-foods-closing-immigrants/73052486007/

I don't know how serious you are about this, or whether you're just trolling, but your link is actually all about *debunking* the claim
that Tyson Foods is hiring illegals.

He was just hoping no one would actually read it. jtem is pretty stupid
    that way.

As you are insane and now lap at the hairy ass crack of corporate
America you can only take everything they say as the literal truth!

Everyone is wrong, Wrong, WRONG about Tyson laying off Americans &
hiring illegals, because it's sheer coincidence that they did exactly
    that!

    The ABCs of LeftTardia:

    Agree. Believe. Comply.

So, you post an article that actually refutes your claim, then when
called on it, you say, "don't believe them, believe me, they're lying"

You see, troll-boy, in order for that to happen you would have at some
point had to establish some credibility.

Sorry, I'll believe the article that you posted as alleged support for
    your claim (lie).

If you want me to believe your claim(lie), it might be in your better
interest to post something that actually supports your claim.

The Google archive is still there, you can copy & paste the URLs.

Or you can copy & paste the text from the posts.

STOP saying things, you worthless mouth breather. Establish them.

Take your own advice you abusive troll. If this place had effective
