Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the man at the center of a political and legal maelstrom after he was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, is returning to the United States to face charges related to transporting undocumented migrants, according to an indictment unsealed Friday.
The stunning move, which had been quietly planned for several weeks, could provide a much-needed offramp for the Trump administration, which has bitterly opposed a series of court orders to take steps to release him following his wrongful removal on March 15.

Prediction: Mr. Abrego Garcia will beat this bogus "trafficking" charge. Bet on it. It probably won't even go to trial.
He may yet be deported, as he definitely is a removable alien, but Trump is now humiliated.
