As the president heads to Texas to see the impact of last week’s deadly flash floods, the White House has backed away from plans to abolish the agency, officials said.

    By Natalie Allison

For months, President Donald Trump and his homeland security secretary have said
the Federal Emergency Management Agency could be eliminated. But as the president heads to Texas to view the impact of last week’s deadly floods, administration officials say abolishing the agency outright is not on the agenda.

A senior White House official told The Washington Post that no official action is being taken to wind down FEMA, and that changes in the agency will probably amount to a “rebranding” that will emphasize state leaders’ roles in disaster
    response.

The official and others emphasized that Trump will make the ultimate decision, but said at this point, FEMA is not set to be abolished.

“Without any official action,” the official said, “you’re already seeing the
theory” of the administration’s new approach “taking place in Texas.”

Yeah, of course, when a red shithole like Texas suddenly needs FEMA, Trumpy the insurrectionist thinks it's the cat's pyjamas. What fucking hypocrites.

Homan admitted racial profiling, happily violating the Constitution and

In his latest Fox News appearance, Homan said: “Look, people need to understand, ICE officers and Border Patrol don’t need probable cause to
walk up to somebody, briefly detain them, and question them. They just
need totality of the circumstances, right? They just go through the observation, get our typical facts — based on the location, the
occupation, their physical appearance, their actions.”

That's a crying shame. I was really looking forward to the constantly
disaster afflicted red states to suffer more and more. Unlike California, they don't have the wealth to face massive disaster and always rely on the
Feds to save their fat redneck asses.
