A 41-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday and was immediately sentenced to
time served in jail for attempting to molest a 13-year-old girl in San Clemente.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched Feb. 12 to the 900 block of South El Camino Real, adjacent to the San Diego (5) Freeway, regarding the incident, according to court records.

An “informant” showed deputies information that indicated Damian Hernandez-Guzman was meeting a minor for sex acts, deputies said.

Hernandez-Guzman was sentenced to 321 days in jail but had 324 days credit behind bars since his arrest in February, according to court records.

As part of the plea deal felony counts of contacting a minor with the
intent to commit a sex offense, meeting a minor to commit lewd conduct and distributing pornography to a minor with the intent to engage in sexual
conduct were dismissed.
