I have managed to be reasonably successful with this under Windows with AnyDVD and HandBrake working together to produce good quality and
reasonable size - thanks to all the advice given in this group! Problem is AnyDVD will stop working in a couple of weeks and it is very expensive
since it's subscription only like so much s/w nowadays.
Is here a Linux solution for this, I know HandBrake is available but what about a free equivalent of AnyDVD?
I keep loading Linux and running back to Windows, if I could get something like this working it might encourage me to spend a bit longer in Linux.
Ubuntu MATE is my goto Linux distro so I would probably stick to that
unless there are good reasons to use something else?
I see you use Ubuntu so the instructions for ppa to get MakeMKV should
work.
Note the article is somewhat old (8 years ago) so you mileage may vary.
