• Adapter for 3.5" drives in 5.25" bays

From David@21:1/5 to All on Thu May 22 16:19:06 2025
Having bought a used graphics card off eBay then discovered (as usual)
that there were things I should have known but didn't I am now nearly
    ready to fit.

A new more powerful PSU should drive it.

I should have bought a half length card but didn't, so I need to remove a
group of 3.5" drive bays from the case, and put the 2 x 3.5" drives plus
the 2.5" SSD (in an adapter) into the spare 5.25" slots.

There are plastic frames which can do the job, or metal brackets which
screw to the side of the HDD case to make it wider.

Any recommendations on which way to go, and reliable brands for the
    suggested solution?

I am wondering if it might be better to mount the 2.5" drive directly into
a 5.25" adapter instead of having an adapter within an adapter.

As usual, any advice gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Dave R

All of those ideas will work, I see no preference here.
