Many MIDI devices emulate Mackie Control to interact with music editing software (to move faders, knobs and transport controls).
Is there a Mackie Control plugin or somesuch for GarageBand?
(I had a pleasant experience recently, an old MIDI controller that previously failed to work with GarageBand now does (if not completely, at least somewhat usefully). So it seems that GarageBand is getting better at recognising controllers.)
