How about a 'keyboard' that doesn't have keys something like an iPad :-)

A friends rabbit bit through her laptops charger cable ,HP said a replacement charger was £150 !

Buy yourself a new keyboard and give him your old one? That way he can
browse on his own. : )

He can remove every key in 5 minutes, then proceed to chew each one 30 seconds at a time.  All it takes is damage to the flimsy bit at the back that slots into the base and it's useless.

There are people on Etsy selling stainless steel and aluminium keycaps
but they very expensive - £20 plus per key!

Rather than an expensive metal keyboard perhaps you could settle for a
    cheap budgie^Wbudget one. :-)

Parrots do not bend metal surely? They can undo nuts (but not nylock
ones) but I've never known them bend metal. It's an African Grey.

I see big ones quoted at 400 psi, stronger then a Rottweiler,
and three times stronger than a human bite. (about 35 bar, 3.5MPa)
Strong enough to crack macadamia nuts or to bite off a finger.

Guess your best bet is to cover your keyboard while away,
and to defend it manualy while behind it,

I already have a cheapo one and regularly swap parts, but the same keys
are attacked so I run out of them.  These Etsy ones, can you buy
individual keys?  And will they fit any keyboard?

I didn't want to single out any specific store as I have no experience
of using them. Use the following URL to search within Etsy and you can
    then see for yourself.

    <https://www.etsy.com/uk/search?q=metal%20keycaps>

They're usually marked as Cherry MX compatible which means that they
should work in most mechanical keyboards.

I guess you mean a scarlet (or greenwing, or blue and gold) macaw (or a cockatoo)?

Do you know what an African grey is quoted at? All I can find is the most powerful one, a Moluccan Cockatoo, with 500 PSI.

I guess rotating a nylock nut requires a different direction of strength
then biting through something. That will be the neck muscle, not the beak muscle.

Guess your best bet is to cover your keyboard while away,

I simply move it off the desk to a small table in the corner which for
some reason he never goes to. It's where I put anything I don't want attacked, like the mail.

The problem arises when I forget or stupidly think I'm only leaving the
    room for 2 minutes.

Just putting it upside down should do it, I guess.
It should be possible to condition yourself into that routine.

BTW, you can buy cheap replacement keys for many older Macs.
I even found a set for my 12 years old 17" MacBook Pro,
to replace a key that kept falling off,

They seem to have an item on sale with no price tag. What the hell?
I see plenty of contact info, why not ask?

High end products tend to have this , they also don't seem to deal with the UK the USA is the closest english so the price might be in dollars,
then their might be import taxes to pay and currency conversion, post and packing etc.. So they may require that you give them all this info before they can tell you how much it will cost.

It's almost as bad as when you see a price that says from 199, but that's only if you order 100+

I shouldn't have to.  What do they do, barter?  Imagine you went into a supermarket and had to ask how much each piece of fruit was.

Don't waste your time. You won't be able to type on it unless you one-finger-peck with a force close to a sledgehammer.

This one might be a bit more typing friendly. <https://www.metal-keyboard.com/sale-8422493-70-keys-rugged-desktop-industrial-computer-keyboard-kiosk-metal.html>
